Preliminary round - T – 08 and the T 20 rules and regulations

1. Team playing kit – Colored kit names and numbers to be displayed back of the
T-Shirt (To be provided by each company) Pads to be covered with pad covers
(dark color)

2. This tournament will be played with white balls, and it will be provided by organizers
only.

3. All the teams will play in good spirit and maintain the decorum of the game and
no one will be allowed to pass any comments/remarks on any one/s on the field
or off the field. If any such incident comes to notice, the umpires / match
referees /organizers has full powers to enquire about the matter and if proved
true, then such team including the player/s will be penalized/scratched from
the Tournament.

4. Teams must register their players as per the schedule provided (FORM A and
FORM C) and share with the organizers prior to the commencement of the
tournament. The playing 11 and the reserves must be declared by each team and
share with the opposition team prior to every match during the TOSS.

5. All the teams will bring in their own kits and the Organizers will provide teams
with approved Cricket balls which will be used during official games. New white
cricket balls will be used in every inning.

6. In case of a possible dispute regarding a hit for 4/6 runs and /or a catch at the
boundary, fielders are advised to stay put and help the umpire make the decision
by holding their ground. Benefit of doubt shall always go to the batsman and
the decision of the umpires will be final.

7. One representative from each playing side will accompany the official scorer
and inform him about the player’s detail. They also need again the Data and
Spellings of the player, which would be used for our record purpose. In case the
representative is not available, no corrections or amendments would be
allowed later.

8. Players must carry their Photo ID Cards or a letter from the company authorizing
the player to be an employee of the company. In the absence of this, the player
would not be allowed to play the match. He should be on the payroll of the
company for a minimum period of six months (6) to be part of the team.

9. The decision of the Committee shall be final in all matters. On the field the
umpire’s decision would be considered as final during a match.

10. If either of the umpires believes that a team is wasting time, he can award a fiverun
penalty, at his own discretion.

11. The preliminary league matches would be 08 overs. The 3rd place & the final
will be 20 overs a side.

12. There shall not be more than Five (05) fielders permitted outside the 30-yard
circle at the instant of the delivery throughout the innings.

13. General ICC playing rules will apply for all matches other than stipulated here.

14. After the conclusion of preliminary robbing the Finals will be played
between the two teams with highest wins and points with NRR. The
remaining two teams will play off for the 3rd place. A player who has
played in one team is not allowed to always play for another team.

15. Innings/Match Duration:
a. Preliminary matches (T-08) - Each inning must be completed in 30 minutes
b. Extra 05 Mins will be allocated for each inning. Inning break 45 minutes.
c. Finals and 3rd Place (T-20) - Each inning must be completed in 90 minutes
and the innings break is 15 minutes.

16. Team composition and Reporting time:
Team should report 30 minutes prior to the scheduled match start time. Toss
would be held 30 minutes before the start of the scheduled time.
In case of delay in start of the match due to late arrival of teams.
a. Delay up to 5 minutes, 1 over will be reduced from the team arriving late when
batting.
b. Delay up to 08 minutes, 2 overs will be reduced from the late arriving team when
batting.
c. If a team is unable to complete their overs within allocated time (35Mins) 15
runs penalty per over will be awarded to the opposition team and still they
must ball the full quota. Minimum of 10 players are required from a team to
start the match. Failure to do so would yield a walkover to the opposition
team.
d. In case a playing member of the team becomes “unfit to play” during the
progress of the game, the fielding side can use substitute fielder to replace
the “injured” player only as a fielding replacement from the team card
declared at the TOSS.

17. On-field umpire’s decision would be the final one.

18. It is the captain’s responsibility to uphold the spirit of the game by his team.

19. Points Table - Winner -3 Point, No Result -1 Point, Looser - 0 Point.

20. In case of a tie in the league stages each team would get 1 point each.
In the league stages if two teams are tied with same points, NRR would be
taken into account and the team which has a better NRR would move to the
knockout stage.
Net Run Rate = Total runs Scored Total overs faced/ Total runs conceded. Total overs
bowled.

21. On-field umpires will have total control of the matches and all teams and
players are strictly advised to abide by the general rules and umpires’ word
in every instant.

22. Umpires will decide and inform teams re water intervals and breaks as per the
norms.

23. No balls and a wide will result one run and a re- bowl (Umpires discretion). The
delivery following a No Ball shall be a free hit for whichever batsman facing it.
If the delivery for the free hit is not a legitimate delivery, then the next
delivery will become a free hit for whichever batsman facing it.

24. A minimum of 5 overs to be played in the 2nd innings of every match to be
decided if rain interrupts the play. Duckworth and Lewis method to be applied
making targets & decisions.

25. In the final if a tie happens Super over would be held.
Rules for super over
i. The team batting second in the match will bat first in the Super Over.
ii. 3 Batsmen from each team can bat and 1 bowler from each team will bowl.
iii. Entire fielding unit is allowed to field with minimum of 4 fielders inside the
30-yard circle.
iv. In case super over is tied, below rules are applicable Highest Number of 6’s
(main+ super over)– 1st priority Highest Number of 4’s (main + super over) –
2nd priority Least Number of wickets fallen (main + super over) – 3rd
Priority Above priority order only for main match will be followed.
